Opera suspend himself as the most popular mobile browser in the world. Based on data from the company in May StatCounter web analyst, Opera's browser successfully remove the Apple iPhone.
StatCounter do some survey to mobile devices worldwide, 24.6 percent download content using the Opera browser. While 22.3 percent do download through the iPhone, so the information quoted by Reuters on Wednesday (3/6/2009).
"I consider very interesting competition between the two browsers in this year. Both in the rotation position of the browser market even more exciting," he added.
Opera browser offers incentive to the various operators and mobile phone manufacturers. In addition, Opera has a feature that allows consumers to download for free. Meanwhile, Apple's browser can only be downloaded and used by the iPhone users.
The analyst estimates, grab the top position in the browser market will still continue between the Opera and Apple.
In addition to Opera and Apple, Nokia have occupied the third position in the browser market. As a manufacturer of top mobile phone, Nokia has as much 17.9 percent of the mobile browser market. StatCounter provide information that the research is based on a survey of four billion web pages that are accessed each month.
