Cyber-Shot Super Slim TX5 and H55 New Arrivals

Sony has released two Cyber-shot models including the world's slimmest rugged compact, the DSC-TX5. Measuring 17.7mm (0.69") on its thinnest side, it features a 10.2MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor and a 3.0" touchscreen LCD that works underwater. The company's first rugged compact, it is designed to be dustproof, waterproof up to 3 meters, coldproof down to -10°C (14°F) and shock-resistant for drops of up to 1.5 meters. Also released is the DSC-H55 compact superzoom offering an image stabilized 10x (25-250mm equiv.) zoom lens, 14MP CCD sensor, 3.0" LCD and features such as Sweep Panorama and 720p HD video recording.

A generous range of accessories for the TX5 includes the LCS-THQ – a soft, fashionable case in a choice of colours that uses water repellent materials to dry the camera while carrying it. There’s also the STP-FSA floating strap that safeguards against losing the camera while you’re in the water.

The new Cyber-shot™ DSC-TX5 and DSC-H55 compact digital still cameras are available from end March 2010. And probably in the middle of April in Indonesia. Can't wait too long???
